From his early days covering Pearl Jam at his high school’s Battle of the Bands (out-applauding Gym Class Heroes by a solid 3dB), he’s been drawn to the alternative, finding creative ways to fuse his love of music with all things sonic. That instinct to follow the less obvious path eventually led him to New York City, where he dove into the world of film and entertainment as a Re-recording Mixer and Supervising Sound Editor.

His credits include acclaimed projects like Blue Valentine, Hot Rod, Frozen River (Sundance Grand Jury Prize), Blue Ruin (Cannes), The Crowded Room (Apple TV+), and multiple seasons of Damages. He’s collaborated on numerous festival standouts, some of which have gone on to earn Oscar nominations and critical acclaim.

Before launching Alt_Mix, Cory was a seasoned Commercial Mixer and Sound Designer, and helped shape work for top brands like Google, HBO, Lincoln, Budweiser, Toyota, and Kroger, among many others.

Whether he’s working on a film, a commercial, or something in between, Cory brings a collaborative, tailored approach to each project. He’s focused on making the process smooth, the vision clear, and the final result something you truly want to hear.

Mixer | Sound Designer

Eric’s journey into sound began when he earned a degree in Sound Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. After moving to New York CIty, he worked in commercial audio post production collaborating on major advertising campaigns for Google, Mercedes, McDonalds and many more. He now toggles between commercials and longer-form film projects, pushing his creative boundaries and expanding his skills in new directions.

Eric brings a modern, creative, client-focused approach to sound design and mixing. He believes in working closely with the creative team, while drawing on his experience and attuned ear to know what 'sauce' the mix calls for.

When not working he’s likely climbing a cliff or frozen waterfall, traversing a trail along the White Mountains, or sailing off the New England coast.

Simone Gurren comes to Alt_Mix with an extensive background in marketing and production, having held roles on both the creative and production side of advertising. This broad spectrum of experience has given her a panoramic view in understanding both the needs and challenges clients face at every stage of the creative process.

In witnessing the evolution of the industry in real time, she’s thrilled to bring a belief in positively disrupting the status quo to Alt_Mix studio where new processes are not only recognized but embraced.
